Common questions
Do you make staircases to building regulations?
Yes. Rise, going, headroom, handrail height and baluster spacing are all set out to Approved Document K, and we are happy to talk to your building control officer if needed.
Can you match existing railings or gates?
In most cases. We can replicate profiles, finials and spacing so a new section sits alongside the original, and we can repair and re-hang gates rather than replace them.
How long does powder coating add to a job?
Usually about a week. We build that into the programme when we quote, so the date we give you is the installed date, not the date the steel leaves the workshop.
Do you do one-off small items?
Yes. A single bracket, a short handrail for a step, a gate for a side passage. Small jobs are welcome.
